I have been trying to find a farm in South Florida where I can learn agriculture and environment sustainability. I would apply for internships or place in other states, but the only thing is that I have children. Do you have any suggestions?
I would try looking at farms that take on WWOOFers (Willing Workers on Organic Farms): http://www.wwoofusa.org/, or talking to farmers at your local farmers markets: http://www.localharvest.org/farmers-markets/. The farmers may either be looking for workers or volunteers themselves, or may know of other local farmers who are.
